Enjoy our cool, crisp and comfortable 100% organic cotton percale sheets. Percale is a classic, unembellished weave for sheet fabric, also often used for clothing. Soft, but with body, it is a lightweight cloth especially suited for warmer weather.
The percale is available in white or ivory. Ivory is the natural color of the cotton without bleach or dyes. Our white is achieved by bleaching with hydrogen peroxide, a benign bleaching agent that breaks down into hydrogen and water. This fitted sheet has a 15" deep pocket with a band of elastic all the way around the bottom to securely fix it to the mattress.
Our percale cotton sheets have a thread count of 220, but because of the high quality of our organic cotton, they often are guessed to be higher. Our fabric comes from short fibre, hardy breeds of cotton which thrive in a pesticide-free environment, and then all but the longest and softest fibers are culled before weaving it into yarn. Not only do our organic growing practices produce a higher quality product, each set of queen sheets purchased from organic cotton spares the earth 1.25 pounds of agricultural chemicals, as compared to conventional cotton-growing practices in California.
